Manufacturing Day 2013

Manufacturing Day 2013 at Advance CNC Machining

Manufacturing Day at Advance CNC Machining

Tomorrow, (October 4th) is Manufacturing Day.  The purpose of Manufacturing Day is to promote careers in the manufacturing industry to new generations and address the growing skilled labor shortages in America.

Manufacturers around the country are hosting events such as open houses, facility tours, seminars and presentations to help change the perception of our industry.  Advance CNC Machining will also be participating and will be open from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM for tours of our Columbus machine shop headquarters.

Want to join us for Manufacturing Day and learn about machining technology and careers? Feel free to register here. We look forward to meeting to meeting students, teachers and any member of the community who has an interest in manufacturing.

We think manufacturing is cool, we are proud of our industry. We hope that a growing number of people will feel the same way too. Let’s work together to grow our industry and keep manufacturing careers in America.

A parting quote about manufacturing to think about:

“Not only the wealth; but the independence and security of a Country, appear to be materially connected with the prosperity of manufacturers. Every nation, with a view to those great objects, ought to endeavor to possess within itself all the essentials of national supply. These comprise the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and defense.”

–Alexander Hamilton, “Report on Manufacturers,” 1791
